Three male youths have been charged after an alleged disturbance broke out near Edinburgh‘s swanky St James Quarter.
Video footage appeared to show a mass brawl unfolded at 11pm on Saturday night, involving a number of men.
It is reported that a scuffle broke out close to the entrance to the shopping centre before moving to near Leith Street.
Police have arrested and charged two 16-year-old men and a 17-year-old in connection with an assault. The trio are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
It’s not known whether any injuries were sustained.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.10pm on Friday, 17 January, 2025, officers received a report of an assault in the St James Crescent area of Edinburgh.
“Two 16-year-old male youths and a 17-year-old male youth were arrested and charged in connection and were released on an undertaking to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.”
