The heartbroken girlfriend of a young man who died following a disturbance in Paisley has paid tribute to the “craziest lad”, after his death.

Robert McNally, 21, was found seriously injured in the Foxbar area of the town, following reports of a disturbance at around 4.15pm on Saturday. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old man who was arrested in connection with assault has now been charged. He is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.

Friends and family have been left absolutely devastated following the incident. In a post on social media his partner, Angel White, shared a heartfelt message about Robert, who she said would “do anything” for the people he cared about.

In the touching tribute, Angel said: “Robert darling. Our relationship wasn’t perfect, you were the most hot headed, craziest boy I have ever met. But there wasn’t anything you wouldn’t do for the people you cared about and that’s what I loved about you.

Alongside the post, Angel shared a number of pictures of the pair together including a screenshot of a message sent from Robert on Hogmanay saying “love you darling”. Meanwhile, his cousin Nicole Adam said her “heart is broken into a million pieces”.

She wrote: “I haven’t just lost my little cousin, but a little brother. I can’t take in what has happened to you. It’s killing me every second I think of you, and thinking how you were feeling tonight. I will never ever get over this heartache Robert. Forever 21 kiddo”.
