Police have launched an urgent appeal to trace a Glasgow man who hasn’t been seen since he left home to visit a local shop on Sunday morning.
William Stout, 63, went missing from his home in the Kings Park area at around 9.30am on Sunday, January 19.
He was last in contact with his family and police say they are “concerned for his safety and wellbeing”.
A force helicopter was spotted hovering above the southside of Glasgow last night as the search was stepped up.
William, who is know to frequent the Possilpark, Rutherglen and Kings Park areas, is described as 5ft 10ins and of stocky build with grey hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a black clothing and a black beanie hat.
Inspector Alex Marshall said: “William is known to frequent the Possilpark, Rutherglen and Kings Park areas. We are carrying out a number of searches and enquiries in and around these areas to trace him as soon as possible to ensure that he is safe and well.
“We are concerned for his safety and wellbeing. We urge anyone who has seen William or who has any information regarding his whereabouts to contact Police Scotland through 101 quoting incident number 1413 of 19 January.”
