American businessman Donald Trump is set to take the Oath of Office today (January 20), becoming the 47th president of the United States.
The Inauguration Ceremony will take place at noon in the US – around 5pm in the UK – in Washington DC, with family members, including his wife, Melania Trump, expected to attend, Express reports.
Trump’s youngest child, Barron, now 18, will also likely be present, though much has changed for him since his father’s first presidency. Notably, Barron has grown taller and now surpasses his father in height.
Standing at an impressive 6 foot 9 inches (2.06 meters), Barron now towers over his 78-year-old father, who is 6 foot 3 inches (1.9 meters) tall.
Melania, 54, met Donald Trump in 1998 and married him in 2005, marking her first marriage and his third. Barron, their son, was born in March 2006.
During his childhood, Barron lived in the Trump Tower in Manhattan until 2017, when his father became the 45th president. The family moved permanently to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2019.
Now an adult, Barron is the tallest among his siblings, surpassing half-brothers Eric, 41, who stands at 6 foot 5 inches, and Donald Trump Jr, 47, who is 6 foot 1 inch.
He also has two half-sisters, Ivanka Trump, 43, and Tiffany Trump, 31, who are 5 foot 9 inches and 5 foot 6 inches, respectively, according to the Times of India.
Barron graduated from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, in May of last year, and is currently a student at New York University, breaking away from the family tradition of attending the University of Pennsylvania or Georgetown University.
Although Barron made few public appearances during his father’s third campaign for president, social media reports suggest he played an active role behind the scenes.
He reportedly advised his father on connecting with Gen Z voters and even convinced him to appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast, as TODAY reported.
