Noel Fielding has hit headlines in the last week after he exited an Apple TV+ series mid-production and now it’s reported that The Great British Bake Off bosses are fearing his mysteriously departure from the streaming giant’s comedy could also mean an exit for him as a co-host alongside Alison Hammond.
Last year, Noel launched The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, and it was so popular that it was renewed for a second season, however, the entire series has been scrapped due to Noel stepping back due to health concerns over the festive period.
As filming for the Bake Off looms, producers are wondering if Noel will be fit enough to return to the tent in a few month’s time.
Away from the cameras, Noel lives quite a quiet life, so we took a look at The Mighty Boosh star’s marriage and his solid family unit.
The 51-year-old star leads a quiet life off-camera, keeping his personal life, including his relationship and family, under wraps. The funnyman is in a long-term relationship with Lliana Bird, 43, who he reportedly started dating back in 2010.

The couple welcomed their first daughter in 2018, who they named Dali, after the artist Salvador Dali. They welcomed their second daughter in August 2020, named Iggy.
Noel and Lliana mostly keep their love life private and seldom share photos of each other on social media, although Lliana did post a heartfelt tribute on Noel’s 50th birthday, reports OK!.
The mum-of-two shared a heartfelt post alongside an amusing picture of Noel, with the words: “Babius. We love you more than you’ll ever know. Half a century of the wonder that is you. You’ve made our whole lives, the two most incredible girls in the world are because of you. I hate this bulls*** posting stuff but baby, you’re so cool. You’re so cool. You’re so. Cool. Xx”. Noel may have hit the limelight with his comedy in the early 2000s, but Lliana has also forged a notable career for herself.
Known as a writer, director, actress and podcaster as well as by her nickname Birdy, she hosts Radio X’s evening programme and has made appearances on Sky News and BBC Breakfast. Lliana is a contributor to Huffington Post and presents the weekly podcast Geek Chic’s Weird Science.
She’s also played a significant role in founding charities Help Refugees and the Kindly Collective. Adding to her list of accomplishments, Lliana recently celebrated the release of her debut children’s book, Babboo The Unusual Bee, under Rocket Bird Books.
