Rangers kid Alex Lowry is closing in on a move to Wycombe Wanderers.

The English League One outfit have opened talks with Gers as they chase a permanent deal to sign the 21-year-old playmaker. Once highly rated at Ibrox, the talented ball carrier was handed his Gers debut by former boss Gio van Bronckhorst back in 2022. But the Scotland Under-21 internationalist has failed to progress at the rate expected of him and his career at Rangers has stalled.

He was sent on loan to Hearts but returned to Ibrox injured having netted just once in 17 Jambos appearances. Lowry hasn’t featured at all for the club since Philippe Clement took over and is now set for a move down south, with the Chairboys hoping his signing will boost their promotion hopes. Sam Grace’s side currently sit second in League One, with the club just two points behind Birmingham City.
