The first meeting of 2025 of the Inner Wheel Club of Motherwell & Wishaw was held at the Bentley Hotel in Motherwell.
As well as a lovely two course meal the ladies had a special guest speaker for the evening, Colin Russell from Carluke.
Colin was appointed Officer of Arms in 2021 (Grand Bailiwick of Scotland) to the late Queen Elizabeth.
Colin gave a fascinating talk on his role in the late Queen’s funeral and the Coronation of our new King Charles III.
To the delight of the Club, Colin also brought along his official tunic which is worn on state occasions.
As is the custom for the January meeting, the Club also welcomed some friends from the Inner Wheel Clubs of Larkhall and Tranent for the evening and the Candle of Friendship was lit by the President of Larkhall Club, Laura Reid.
The Club has a fun filled programme of events in place for the rest of 2025.
Anyone wishing to join our happy band at 6pm on the first Tuesday of the month please email [email protected] in the first instance. Everyone welcome.
