A gang used a hammer to smash open an Edinburgh shop window in a ‘smash and grab’ raid.
Shocking CCTV has captured the crooks who stormed Slateford Express shop in the capital’s Slateford Road.
Karan Moudgill, who runs the shop, caught the incident on CCTV. He opened Slateford Express just weeks ago, in December, Edinburgh Live reports.
Karan said: “There were two people in a car.
“One of them broke the window with a heavy hammer and got into the shop. He went straight to the till and took all my cigarettes and tobacco and ran.
“It was 3.30am so the shop was closed.”
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
