The line-up for this year’s award-winning Summer Nights at the Bandstand in Glasgow will include punk rockers Public Image Ltd, Teenage Fanclub and Billy Ocean as part of a raft of acts playing the famous venue.
Now in its tenth year, the annual series of concerts at Kelvingrove Bandstand in the west end of the city will return with a packed programme for 2025.
Among the other acts performing in June and July are Anastacia, Elbow and The Sisters of Mercy.
John Stout from promoters Regular Music said: “We are thrilled to announce who will be performing at our 10th year of Summer Nights at the Bandstand. It has been a privileged to have so many brilliant artists perform at the bandstand over the years. Keeping up to that high standard is a challenge we always relish so it’s great to be able to celebrate our tenth edition with such a great line-up.
Regular Music’s annual Summer Nights festival, which runs from the end of July into August each year, has become a firm favourite with music fans and scooped the Unesco City of Music Best Live Event at the Scottish Music Awards in 2017.
Steve Earle was the opening concert at the first Summer Nights at the Bandstand on 7 August 2014.
Since then, there have been more than 100 concerts hosted as part of Summer Nights at the Bandstand. Other artist to play the festival include Brian Wilson, Patti Smith, Pretenders, The National, Primal Scream, Van Morrison, Siouxsie, Del Amitri, First Aid Kit, Bryan Ferry, Burt Bacharach, Johnny Marr, The Waterboys, Texas, Tom Jones, Pixies, Squeeze, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Alison Moyet, Echo & the Bunnymen, Seasick Steve, Father John Misty, Suede, The Human League, Fleet Foxes, Belinda Carlisle, Jimmy Cliff, The Saw Doctors and Edwyn Collins.
