Perthshire butcher Simon Howie is celebrating Burns Night with a limited edition take on the popular board game, ‘Guess Who?’
The quirky ‘Haggis Who?’ features hand-drawn illustrations by local artist Gail Stirling Robertson of some of Scotland’s most well-known celebrities – including broadcaster Lorraine Kelly, tennis ace Andy Murray, singing star Annie Lennox, football favourite Ally McCoist and, appropriately, iconic wordsmith Robert Burns himself.
The game also features TV personality Carol Smillie, who has starred in a spoof ‘70s-style ad to promote the game.
‘Haggis Who?’ is only available via a competition on Simon Howie’s social media channels, which fans can enter to win a copy and become one of only a few to own the special version for posterity, along with the participating Scottish stars themselves.
Simon, owner of Dunning-based Simon Howie Foods, said he hoped the game would brighten the winter months.
He declared: “We love haggis and we love a pun so ‘Haggis Who?’ was born!
“It was great to work with local Dunning artist, Gail Stirling Robertson, again on the illustrations and we have been delighted with the response from the Scottish icons featured in the game.
“Everyone knows it is just a bit of fun in celebration of Burns Night – but that’s exactly what January needs!
“I wish we had made more of them as everyone wants one so I hope lots of people enter the competition on our social channels for a chance to get hold of one of them before they are all gone!”
Former ‘Changing Rooms’ host Carol said: “Burns Night is one of Scotland’s best-known celebrations and traditions of the year.
“I love haggis and I’ve had so much fun getting involved in ‘Haggis Who?’
“I’m looking forward to sitting down to a plate of haggis, neeps and tatties along with a game of ‘Haggis Who?’ this Burns Night – what better way to spend it?”
