Zeidane Inoussa has admitted his dream is to play abroad as he spells out 4 non-negotiables for his next club.
Record Sport revealed last week that Celtic are considering a move for the BK Hacken star with St Etienne having also scouted the Swedish Under-21 star in recent weeks. Brendan Rodgers is considering the left-sided attacker and now the man himself has opened up on his future as he admits to being ‘aware’ of talk surrounding him and other clubs.
Speaking to Swedish publication fotbollskanalen, he admitted: “I’m aware of some of it. I’ve talked to my agents and we’ve checked in, looked at the situation and tried to plan for the future. To be completely honest, I just want to play football. I’m definitely curious about what’s out there, but I want to be in a place where I feel appreciated and there’s a plan for me. Whether it’s here or somewhere else, I don’t know. But right now I feel very good in Häcken. They have a good plan for me and the project we’re in is good and it suits me perfectly.”
He continued: “We’ll see what happens. If we both feel it’s extremely good for both parties, then why not. But if it’s not good for either of us, it probably won’t happen. We’ve talked about it a bit,
“A good league. A club that is ambitious. A club that has a very good plan for me, that sees me as an important player in their project where I can contribute a lot. I think most players in the Allsvenskan are keen to go abroad. It’s probably almost everyone’s dream, and mine too. I’m open to a move if it suits both me and Häcken. My dream is to play in a top five league, like the Premier League, of course. It might be difficult to get there if you’ve been in the Allsvenskan for 10 years. At some point you have to move. But we’ll see if it happens now, this summer or next winter. It’s hard to say.”
Meanwhile, Kasper Schmeichel has paid tribute to Brendan Rodgers after extending his Celtic contract until 2026. The 38-year-old has been a smash-hit since replacing Joe Hart in the summer. He said: “I am really happy to extend my contract with the club. I have had a great welcome and have loved every minute so far at Celtic and I am really looking forward to the next period at such a great football club.
“We have already enjoyed success this season and everyone at the club is focused on delivering more. It has been great to be working again with the gaffer and to be part of such a brilliant dressing room, and I wanted to be a part of this going forward. As ever, we are all really together and fully focused on bringing our fans as much success as we can.”
