A Brooklyn Uber passenger died during a clash with two men who opened the back door, beat him and stole his chain, cops said Thursday.

Michael Shelonchik was beaten by the crooks after they ripped open the back door of the Uber he was riding in at W. 5th St. and Neptune Ave. in Coney Island about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.

After the crooks got away with the chain the driver sped off, stopping about a mile away at E. 3rd St. and Avenue Y in Gravesend when he realized the passenger was unconscious.

Medics rushed Shelonchik, 53, to Maimonides Medical Center, where he died. His attackers have not been caught.

Shelonchik lived in Bergen Beach, according to cops.

Police are investigating the case as a homicide but have preliminary classified the case as an “investigate DOA,” pending the results of a city Medical Examiner autopsy to determine exactly how Shelonchik died.
