A van is believed to have been crushed after parts of a building fell off while being demolished in Glasgow.

The four-storey building at 138 Hydepark Street in Glasgow near the River Clyde appears to have collapsed on Wednesday, January 22 just before 3pm.

Video footage obtained by the Daily Record shows the structural framework of the building following the collapse. It is believed a van was crushed as a result of the incident. It is not known at this stage if anyone has been injured as a result of the incident.

The cause of the building’s collapse is currently unknown. Hydepark Street has been closed following the incident earlier this afternoon.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for comment.
