Overnight lane closures will be implemented on a stretch of motorway later this month as investigations works begin to boost road safety there.
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to carry out essential drainage investigation works on the M876 westbound at Dennyloanhead for four nights.
There will be no diversion in place while these works are undertaken and alternative lane closures will be in place on the main carriageway of the M876 at Dennyloanhead from Tuesday, January 28, to Friday, January 31, between the hours of 7.30pm and 6am.

Only one lane and the hard shoulder will be closed at any one time whilst the other lane will remain open to the public. There will be a speed limit of 50mph during the lane closure.
All traffic management will be removed outwith these working hours and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and other relevant stakeholders to make them aware of the plans in advance.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “We thank motorists and the local community in advance for their patience while we carry out this essential investigation, which will allow us to carry out planned resurfacing works in the future. As ever, we will be looking to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible, with minimal impact on road users.”
