Zara and Mike TIndall are often referred to as the most relatable and down-to-earth members of the Royal Family and it seems they are about to follow in the footsteps of many members of the British public with one big move.

Having first met in Sydney in 2003, during the Rugby World Cup, Australia holds a very special place in the royal couple’s heart and speculation is now mounting that they will make a permanent move there in the very near future.

Odds on if and when Zara and Mike will make the move suggest that they could leave the UK as early as 2027 with odds at 8/13 that they will move down under compared to 13/8 that they will remain in the UK.

Zara, who is the only daughter of Princess Anne, tied the knot with former rugby union player Mike in 2011 and the couple now reside in Gloucestershire with their three children.

However, the couple still make regular trips back to Australia and even flew out to celebrate the the beginning of the new year there, as they do every January.

James Leyfield, Casinos.com showbiz oddsmaker, commented: “During their latest Australian trip, Zara admitted the couple ‘couldn’t ask for a better way to start the year.’

“The pair’s connection to Australia is deeply rooted. They first met in Sydney in 2003 – introduced by Zara’s cousin, Prince Harry – while Mike was playing rugby for England during the World Cup and Zara was on a gap year. Despite a low point for Mike, having just been dropped ahead of the semi-final, the pair hit it off, with their relationship blossoming over a ‘boozy lunch.’

“Mike went on to regain his place in the starting line-up for England’s iconic World Cup final victory against Australia. Their story almost reads like a fairy tale – what better way to begin a new chapter than by returning to where it all started?”

Bookmaker’s have odds at 11/10 that Zara and Mike will make a permanent move there in 2027 or in 2028 at 6/4.

James added: “While their presence at UK racecourses would be greatly missed, moving to Australia in 2028, 25 years after their first meeting, would be a symbolic and fitting milestone. With odds of 6/4 for such a move, and 11/10 for 2027, the possibility of the Tindalls relocating seems closer than ever.”
