Falkirk schools and other council services will close tomorrow (Friday) as a red weather alert is in place for extremely high winds tomorrow from 10 am to 5pm.
Chief executive Kenneth Lawrie said: “A red weather warning poses a risk to life and will cause significant disruption to utilities and transport, potentially.”
Mr Lawrie was updating members of Falkirk Council ‘s executive, telling members that with an expectation of power cuts, mobile outages and damage to buildings, all non-essential council buildings, including schools, will be closed.
