Mark Ogren has insisted there is no appetite from anybody connected at Dundee United to leave Tannadice and ground share with Dundee.

Dees chief executive John Nelms this week again opened the door for a joint venture at their proposed new stadium. But that was instantly dismissed by United chairman Ogren, who attended the AGM, and stated there’s NO talks to be had on a ground share. Ogren confirmed: “There isn’t an appetite within the club or within our fanbase to do that. We actually took a vote in the AGM to see what the reaction was like and almost everyone said they’d stay at Tannadice.

“What we want to do is develop Tannadice to be the best experience it can be. We want the fan experience to be somewhere people want to come to and it’s a good environment for them. We will be investing in the stadium to get ahead of the game because the more you invest now the more you save in the long run.”

Dundee are trying to get planning permission for a proposed new site at Camperdown. The Dark Blues have had the land for several years but have never managed to get their plans beyond the planning stage.
