The third UK series of The Traitors is drawing to a close, with the grand finale set for tonight (January 24) following four weeks of unexpected developments and betrayals.
Devotees of the BBC reality competition will be curious to see if this year’s final can surpass that of season two. That season saw Traitor Harry Clark secure the substantial prize pot from the Faithfuls after persuading his closest ally on the show, Mollie Pearce, that he was trustworthy.
Convinced by him, she erased his name from her blackboard at the last possible moment, ensuring his victory and making the episode a memorable one in the annals of reality TV due to its drama and suspense.
The third series of the unpredictable game show has introduced audiences to a fresh cast of endearing characters. Linda, an ousted player, quickly became a fan favourite and was hailed as an ‘icon’ for her dramatic acting in an attempt to hide her role as a Traitor. Despite what viewers referred to as her ‘GCSE acting’, she managed to stay in the game until episode seven before being expelled, reports Wales Online.
This week witnessed the departure of the last original Traitor, Minah, with her new recruit Charlotte opting to add Freddie to the Traitor line-up in an effort to secure her own spot in the final. Meanwhile, a brand new ‘game-changing’ twist promises to add some excitement to the castle.
Devotees of the series won’t want to miss the grand finale, but there are some alterations they should be aware of. The finale will broadcast at an earlier time tonight. The extended episode will kick off at 8.30pm instead of the usual 9pm slot, and run until 9.40pm.
The spin-off show Uncloaked will also air at an earlier time and will be shown on BBC One immediately after the finale, rather than in its usual slot on BBC Two. Uncloaked will commence at 9.40pm as soon as the main show concludes, and will finish at 10.25pm.
The Traitors finale kicks off tonight (January 24) at the earlier time of 8.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. It will be followed by Uncloaked on the same channel.
