A desperate search is underway for a Rangers fan who has been reported missing in Manchester amid Storm Éowyn.
Robbie Hepburn, from Glasgow, attended the game at the Old Trafford on Thursday night. He took a trip to the bathroom at the stadium during the game but failed to return to his seat.
The Gers fan’s worried family say he left his phone and wallet behind, sparking concern for his whereabouts in a city “he’s unfamiliar with”. The Scot has been reported missing as Storm Éowyn grips the UK, with gusts of up to 62mph expected to hit Greater Manchester.
Storm Éowyn has already gripped the city south of the border, with major disruption reported in roads, railways and at airports. Similarly to Scotland, residents in Manchester have also been urged not to travel.
Robbie’s worried sister, Lauren, posted an appeal for Robbie’s whereabouts on social media on Friday morning, urging those with any information to come forward.
She wrote: “My brother Robbie went missing at the Rangers game at Old Trafford in Manchester last night, failing to return to his seat after going to the bathroom. He left his phone and wallet at his seat so we are worried for his whereabouts in a city he’s unfamiliar with. Please contact me if you have any information at all.
“Would appreciate it greatly if you could also share this post.”
The Record has approached Greater Manchester Police for comment.
