The Traitors star Alexander Dragonetti has captured the heart of the nation after his run on the popular BBC series, despite not bagging any of the cash prize at the final.
During the intense final episode which aired on Friday night, while Faithfuls Leanne and Jake celebrated their victory with a hefty sum of £94,600, Alexander and Frankie narrowly missed out during the end game.
Though he didn’t walk away with a cash prize, Alexander certainly left his mark on viewers. Speaking to the Mirror, he opened up about his current romantic situation, and it seems there might be a chance for admiring fans.
On the programme, Claudia Winkleman hinted that the handsome star was single, sparking excitement. Even after his public taste of fame, Alexander confirmed he’s yet to be snapped off the market.
In response to quizzing him about his love life post-show, he responded with a chuckle: “I am still single… I’ll probably leave it there.” However, those aiming to win his affections may find themselves amid stiff competition.
During Uncloaked, Claudia revealed her Whatsapp was inundated with inquiries concerning Alexander’s relationship status. Beyond looks, it’s his heartfelt demeanor and memorable moments that have solidified his popularity with viewers.
Alexander expressed his heartfelt thanks for the backing he received from fans, saying, “I’m so grateful for all the support I’ve had during this.

“It was quite an intense process because I got off the train and then came back into the game only two and a half weeks ago. It’s been made so much more enjoyable because of all the support out there and I’m enormously grateful for it, it really means a lot.”
His journey could have ended if he hadn’t returned to the game after his bold decision to leave the train in the first episode. Despite being in the dark about their chances of coming back, along with Fozia and Jack, Alexander expected something was happening.
“I thought carefully about the language Claudia used over the tannoy, I thought, well, she’s not saying we’re exiting the game,” he pondered, then shared that knowledge of past series gave him an edge. “Anyone in series 1 and 2 had been either banished or murdered. No one leaves unless they are.”
Reflecting back, Alexander believes that his short departure ultimately aided him in reaching the finale. He explained, “I also know that the first few episodes can be tough. It’s the luck of the draw on who goes and who stays. So, I thought if I missed some of those, and came in with the story of ‘I’ve done the right thing’ it could be helpful.”
The elimination of Alexander on Friday sparked an uproar among fans. Despite missing out on the cash prize, the star voiced he was “really happy” about his stint on the show, and has no regrets over how things unfolded.
