Martin Henderson, who plays Jack Sheridan in Virgin River, has left fans stunned by his connection to pop superstar Britney Spears.

The actor might be best known for playing his role as Jack in the hit Netflix show and Dr Nathan Riggs in the American medical drama Greys Anatomy, many were unaware of his cameo in the music industry.

In a revelation that has shocked fans, it turns out that Martin appeared in the music video for Britney Spears’ 2004 hit song Toxic.

The rediscovery of this has sparked excitement along fans of Virgin River, especially after clips of the music video resurfaced online.

In the footage, Martin is seen wearing a sharp suit, being dramatically tossed onto a bed by Britney, a scene that quickly became iconic along all Britney fans.

Reflecting on his music video appearance in 2020, sharing with Entertainment Tonight, he said: “It was my dirty little secret. It was a weird day – I think it was on a Saturday or Sunday.

“I got a call a few days before like ‘Hey, can you do this thing on the weekend?’ I’d just done this action movie called Torque for Warner Bros. and the director did all of Britney’s music videos.

“No one actually mentioned that I’d have to make out with Britney. The thing that struck me the most about meeting her was how down-to-earth she was. She was the sweetest and most genuine girl.”

Fans were taken aback by the Netflix actor’s unexpected music video past, prompting loads of reactions on social media.

One fan expressed: “It just keeps getting better,” while another, in shock, asked: “Jack???” with a grinning emoji.

As another commented: “Jack Sheridan?! Like Mr. Fix up your cabin?!” And one enthusiastic fan simply declared: “Man of my dreams.”
