A man has been arrested after illegal drugs were discovered in a car in East Kilbride.
Plain clothes officers spotted a vehicle “being driven erratically” along Stuart Street in East Kilbride in the early hours of Friday, January 24.
The vehicle was stopped and 30 snap bags containing cocaine, 28 ecstasy tablets, 17 foil bags of cannabis, 13 snap bags of LSD tabs and 10 snap bags containing ketamine were found along with £410 in cash and a mobile phone which was seized.
Police say the drugs had an estimated street value of £3000.
Officers carried out a roadside drug swab which is claimed to have tested positive for cocaine.
A 48-year-old man was arrested and taken to a police station where he was later released.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A police spokesman said: “About 2am on Friday, January 24 plain clothes officers observed a vehicle being driven erratically on Stuart Street East Kilbride.
“A search was carried out on the vehicle and 30 snap bags containing cocaine, 28 ecstasy tablets, 17 foil bag of cannabis, 13 snap bags of LSD tabs, 10 snap bags containing ketamine, £410 in cash and a mobile phone was seized. The drugs have an estimated street value of £3000.
“A roadside drug swab was carried out on the male which tested positive for cocaine. The male was arrested and taken to a police station. He was later released and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
