TOWN OF ALGOMA, Wis. (WBAY/Gray News) – Wisconsin authorities say a man died following a crash that involved an Amazon delivery van.

According to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred last Wednesday at about 6 p.m. on Highway 21 between the Amazon vehicle and a pickup truck.

Authorities said a 30-year-old man was behind the wheel of the pickup truck that was engulfed in flames after the crash.

Two people, who weren’t involved in the collision, helped pull the man from the burning truck.

However, attempts to revive the pickup driver failed and he died before being able to be taken to the hospital.

The sheriff’s office said the Amazon worker was not injured in the crash.

Authorities did not immediately identify the drivers but said the crash remains under investigation.
