Snow leopards may be huge in size, but they’re experts at hiding.

They have exceptional camouflage due to their thick, patterned fur, which helps them blend into their rocky, snowy environments. Their fur consists of a pale, smokey-grey or creamy white base colour with black or dark grey rosettes and spots.

This coat pattern mimics the textures and shadows of their alpine habitats, making it difficult for prey – and even predators or humans – to spot them. So do you think you’d be able to find one?
