GEORGETOWN, Texas — Georgetown ISD has canceled classes at Georgetown High School Wednesday as police investigate a bomb threat.
The Georgetown Police Department said officers arrived at the campus sometime around 8 a.m. Police said no one is permitted to enter school grounds while the investigation is underway.
Drivers and pedestrians have been asked to avoid the area until further notice.
At around 8:15 a.m., Georgetown ISD said on social media that entrances to the campus are blocked and staff and students were being asked to avoid the area. Just after 10 a.m., the district said classes have been canceled at the high school Wednesday.
All other district campuses are operating on a normal schedule.
