MANOR, Texas — Two people have been arrested and charged in connection to a deadly shooting in Manor.
A U.S. Marshals-led task force said the two people were arrested after 19-year-old Victor Ekozeme was killed on Jan. 24 in the Wildhorse Ranch Trail area.
According to the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, an unidentified teenager was arrested after Ekozeme was killed. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Bill Tarlue Nyanway was arrested on Jan. 27 and charged with tampering with physical evidence following the shooting.
While it’s unclear what led up to the shooting, Austin police said Ekozeme and another person were driving around a nearby apartment complex when someone started shooting into their car. Ekozeme and his passenger were both hit and drove away.
Ekozeme then lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger was taken to the hospital and released the same day.
Police also believe Ekozeme was targeted in the shooting. His death is being investigated as Austin’s fourth homicide of 2025.
Meanwhile, Nyanway is being held on a $20,000 bond in the Travis County Jail.
