We’re now deep into the 15-day celebration of Chinese New Year, which started on January 29. As we enter the Year of the Wood Snake and leave the Year of the Dragon behind, new opportunity and change will come for every sign under the Chinese zodiac.
But a new study from experts at Prime Casino has discovered which of the zodiac signs are very lucky indeed, especially with money. It has been revealed which Chinese zodiac signs are most likely to become billionaires.
The study analysed the zodiac signs of the world’s wealthiest billionaires, creating an overall ranking.
It’s time to find out if you’re animal sign could predict future financial success. Here’s everything you need to know about which Chinese zodiac signs are bringing home the bacon.
1. Sheep
Those born in the Year of the Sheep are most likely to become billionaires, according to the study.
And 20 of the world’s wealthiest billionaires have the Sheep as their Chinese zodiac animal. The most famous Sheep billionaire is former CEO of Microsoft, Bill Gates, the fourteenth richest person in the world.
Gates founded the software company alongside the late Paul Allen in 1975 after dropping out of Harvard University. In 2020, he stepped down from the Microsoft board, and his stake in the company is now estimated to be less than one per cent.
However, his net worth still stands at a huge £84.6 billion.
2. Rabbit
The second most likely Chinese zodiac to become filthy rich is the Rabbit.
Nineteen of the richest people in the world, such as Amazon chairman and founder Jeff Bezos, were born in the Year of the Rabbit.
Bezos was born on January 12, 1964, and 30 years later, he created Amazon from his garage in Seattle. He stepped down from his CEO role in 2021, becoming the executive chairman.
Jeff Bezos is now believed to own less than 10 per cent of the company, but he is the second richest person in the world, with a net worth of £188.7 billion.
3. Dragon and Rooster
Third place on the zodiac rich list was joint between those born under the sign of the Dragon, and those born in the Year of the Rooster.
One in 12 (16) of the wealthiest billionaires on the list have the Dragon as their Chinese zodiac animal.
This includes Giovanni Ferrero, born on 21 September 1964. Giovanni is the executive chairman of his family’s namesake company, famous for producing confectionary items such as Ferrero Rocher chocolates, Nutella hazelnut spread, Tic Tac mints, and Kinder chocolate products.
He has an estimated net worth of £33.2 billion.
There are also 16 billionaires who were born in the year of the Rooster, such as Miriam Adelson, who inherited her husband’s wealth after Sheldon Adelson’s death in 2021.
Sheldon was the former CEO and chairman of the casino company Las Vegas Sands. Miriam Adelson now owns over half of the gambling empire.
