Gladiators icon Jet has parted ways with her wife after just 18 months.
The original star of the popular 90s show married Zoe in a private ceremony in July 2023. Jet, whose real name is Diane Youdale, proposed to Zoe just four months into their relationship.
Now, reports suggest that the couple has ended their marriage. Diane and Zoe tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with only six close friends and family members present, a year after they first met in a supermarket.
Their romance followed after Diane’s relationship with co-star Hunter (James Crossley), in which the pair dated for two years before calling it off due to their age gap, reports the Mirror.
Diane and Zoe fell in love in the most unlikeliest of places, after they met in a Tesco car park.
Diane admitted that she “just knew” Zoe was the one. She explained that she’s always felt “relaxed” with her sexuality and never felt the need to “keep it a secret.” Diane shared: “I don’t have any prejudices against male or female but I’m definitely more comfortable in my life now with Zoe.”
However, they have now gone their separate ways. A source told Daily Mail: “Diane and Zoe just realised it wasn’t to be. They didn’t see any point carrying on so decided to end their marriage. It’s sad, especially as they were only married for nearly 18 months, but they just weren’t getting on. On reflection, they may have rushed into making their relationship official but there’s no regrets or hard feelings between them.”
Diane previously revealed details of their wedding to Closer magazine, saying: “We’re married! We kept it very, very quiet. Literally nine people on the planet knew. We wanted to keep it really tiny.” Instead of a traditional dress, Diane chose a “boho top and trousers,” while Zoe wore “brogues and chinos,” looking “ever so smart”.
The couple had a brief honeymoon in Northumbria before spending time with family and friends, including some of Jet’s former Gladiators co-stars. They later appeared on ITV’s Lorraine, where they discussed their whirlwind relationship. Diane shared to Zoe: “I asked you four months in… I just knew. The proposal was really boring, just in the kitchen over a glass of wine, you know, lets do this.”

When Diane left Gladiators, she retrained as a psychotherapist. Previously speaking to the Mirror, she admitted leaving the show after her accident was a “no brainer”.
Diane said: “I just thought in terms of an order of priority and because I’d always wanted to study psychotherapy and psychology, I just thought after four and a half years.
“To me, when a show comes out, the first three to four years to me are really powerful – and then it can go off.” She added: “I just thought, ‘it’s time’, I’d done the first four and a half years, I can save some pennies and go to university and do what I always wanted to do since I was a kid – it worked well for me.”
