Chelsee Healey, best known for her roles in Waterloo Road, Casualty, and Hollyoaks, recently shared a deeply personal and heartbreaking announcement with her followers.

The 36-year-old, who was competing on the latest season of Dancing on Ice, opened up about suffering a devastating miscarriage while training for the show.

Chelsee was partnered with professional ice skater Andy Buchanan, but unfortunately the duo were the first to be eliminated.

Despite the early exit from the show in a heartfelt instagram post, Chelsee thanked her supporters, her family and the Dancing on Ice team for helping her through this hard time.

“I want to start by saying thank you to everyone of you for your support during DOI and especially my family, To ITV and my skate partner Andy,” she wrote before going on to tell her followers she hopes by sharing her newss, it will help other women who may be going through the same thing.

Chelsee went on to explain that she discovered she was pregnant while training for the show. However, just weeks after finding out, she suffered a miscarriage.

She continued: “I know I am beyond blessed to have two beautiful daughters but the grief still feels enormous. I am grieving for the little soul i carried momentarily who I’ll never get to meet, the sibling that my girls will never get to have.”

The actress had revealed that despite the pressures of the show, she couldn’t move on from the grief, emphasising the importance of allowing yourself to process emotions rather than suppress them.

She wrote: “Some feelings you can park, put in a box and move on. This hurts differently and I can’t just move on, not yet anyway. I think that my little baby deserves to be honoured by me allowing myself to feel all the emotions, all the sadness for what will not be. There is no shame in that.”

Chelsee’s followers, friends and Dancing on Ice colleagues were quick to come to the actress’s support.
