Love Island has revealed Omar Nyame will be making a surprise entrance into the villa tonight, with his sights set on Catherine Agbaje.
The 26-year-old first appeared on Love Island last year, but his stay was marked by controversy when he had a disagreement with fellow contestant Joey Essex.
During the previous series, Joey called Omar “a snake” after learning Grace Jackson would have been interested in getting to know Omar if Joey hadn’t been in the villa, reports the Mirror.
This led to a confrontation between the two men, which ended with them being separated by the rest of the cast. Omar was later voted off the show along with Tiffany Leighton as the public chose their favourite couples. Now, Omar is returning to the villa for another shot at love, and he’s got his eye on both a new interest and an old flame.
In tonight’s episode, viewers will see Catherine receive a text message that reads: “Catherine and Grace, you have been picked to go on a date. Please get ready to leave the Villa. #BabesWhoBrunch #GetYourFlirtOn.”
It’s Omar Nyame who will be waiting for them at a secret brunch location. During Grace’s date, they discuss their past on Love Island, with Omar mentioning there was a spark between them during the last series.
Grace responds: “I got out of the Villa and we saw each other in social settings… we didn’t really start anything… I think we always fancied each other.”
Omar then says: “I feel like the feeling’s still the same when I first met you, the attraction is still there.”
Omar then has a heart-to-heart with Catherine, who confesses: “It’s been emotional, the first week was trying to make things work with someone who was a slow burner and I realised I don’t like when the love burns too slow…”
Omar responds with: “You need somebody that’s got that fire,” and Catherine hints: “I’ve been patiently waiting.”
The pair decide to spend more time together, but it remains to be seen who Omar will ultimately choose.
Before entering the villa, Omar expressed his desire to find a girlfriend, saying: “I think I’ll be a bit more daring this time,” and revealed he had his eye on Catherine, Grace, Elma, and Tina.
