Luke Littler has brushed-off whistling idiots to stay on course for World Masters glory.

The Nuke faces James Wade tonight after a rapid-fire opening success over Andy Baetens in Milton Keynes.

Littler battered the Belgian inside 11 minutes as he stormed into the last 16 with the distraction of the noisy pests making no odds.

Darts refs had to call for clowns in the crowd to stop whistling during play in an issue which also reared its ugly head at the World Series event in Den Bosch last weekend.

However, Littler didn’t point any fingers as he said: “I think it was just the fans doing it to themselves and getting other people to join in. It wasn’t aimed at us players. I just had to get on with it and get that win.”

The teenager looked in great form heading into the Wade clash and taking all of the expectation of being World Champion on his shoulders.

He said: “Yeah, I’ve been obviously reflecting at home and I’ve had some down time. I’ve had a few days to reflect each week. Everyone will say there is pressure on me, But there’s a major title on the line which I’d like to get my hands on. I’m feeling very confident, but it’s still a very strong field and against James Wade it won’t be an easy task.”
