Sainsbury’s is rewarding its loyal Nectar members by offering them money towards improving the energy efficiency of their home.

The supermarket giant, through its Sainsbury’s Energy venture in partnership with E.ON, is offering customers substantial discounts on home improvements aimed at slashing energy bills and boosting efficiency.

As reported by the Express, the promotion includes a £200 reduction on the cost of installing solar panels via E. ON and a £50 discount on an EV charger to complement them. Not only will this improve the home, but it could lead to further potential savings.

Sainsbury’s said: “We know many of you are already taking steps to reduce your energy bills and carbon footprint, but there are some big leaps you can make that could have a long-term impact. We are here to help you invest in your future with exclusive savings.

“As a Sainsbury’s Energy customer you can enjoy exclusive discounts on home energy upgrades through E.ON. Get up to £200 off solar panels and batteries. Plus, save £50 on an EV charger for your home.”

Sainsbury’s Energy suggests that solar panels could trim up to £713 annually from electricity bills, giving households the power to generate their own energy. The battery storage means you don’t need to waste extra energy, as it saves it for another day.

Nectar customers who switch to Sainsbury’s Energy can also start earning points on their energy bills, with every £1 spent going towards the total. Points can then be used on shopping at big names such as Argos, British Airways, Caffe Nero, and Sky.

Sainsbury’s enthuses: “By switching to us, you’ll not only benefit from our competitive energy tariffs but also earn valuable Nectar points on your bills. These points add up to real savings on future shopping, so you can enjoy more from your essentials.

“It’s a fantastic way to save money and boost your Nectar points balance, whether you’re an existing Sainsbury’s shopper or new to the Nectar family.

“With Sainsbury’s Energy, you’re getting more than just a great energy tariff. You’re also boosting your Nectar points balance with every bill.”
