Thousands of tablets thought to be ‘street Valium’ were discovered during a police raid in Coatbridge.
Acting under warrant, officers from Airdrie’s priority policing team searched a property in the North Lanarkshire town last Thursday (January 30).
Over 26,000 white tablets suspected to be street Valium were recovered.
A woman, aged 46, was arrested in connection with drug offences and was later released pending further investigations.
A police spokesperson said: “On Thursday, January 30, officers from Airdrie’s priority policing team searched a premises in Coatbridge under a misuse of drugs act warrant. Over 26,000 white tablets were recovered which are believed to be ‘street Valium’.
“A 46-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drug offences and taken to a police office, she was later released pending further enquiry.”
