AUSTIN, Texas — A Manor ISD high school student is in hot water after a gun was found in their vehicle.
According to Manor ISD Superintendent Dr. Robert Sormani and Manor ISD Police Chief Clarence Yarbrough, the gun was found on Wednesday by a gunpowder-sniffing K9 during a routine safety check in the parking lot that connects Manor Senior High School and Manor Early College High School. It is unclear which school the student attends.
The weapon was taken without any incident.
The student now faces both legal and disciplinary action, in alignment with district policy and state law, although the extent of the punishment is currently unclear.
