The 2025 BetMGM Premier League is go with Night One ready to burst into life in Belfast.

The eight superstars of the PDC set out of their 16-week battle for spots in Finals Night at London’s O2 in May. Luke Littler heads the charge as the world champion looks to defend the title he won in stunning fashion on his debut last year when hitting a nine-darter in the Final against Luke Humphries.

World No.1 Humphries and seven-times Premier League king Michael van Gerwen head the hunting pack looking to defuse The Nuke. But there are plenty of other stars ready to shine. Rob Cross, Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall and Chris Dobey make up the field as the elite look to make a flying start to the campaign. Here Record Sport takes you through the schedule and matches for the opening night at the SSE Arena in Northern Ireland.

Quarter Finals

Chris Dobey vs Gerwyn Price – 7.15pm

Two PDC picks clash in the opening game with the Geordie looking to build on his run to the semi-finals at the Worlds. In truth, it’s not been a flying start to the regular 2025 season for Hollywood with early exits in both World Series events as well as The Masters. Price has been stronger since the Ally Pally with his enthusiasm for the sport back. The Iceman made a Final in Bahrain and is playing with a smile on his face which, he says, makes him dangerous. Dobey won the last clash between the pair in the quarters at Ally Pally.

Stephen Bunting v Rob Cross – 7.45pm

Bunting is making his return to the Premier League for the first time in a decade with his stock rising and his world ranking up to No.5. The Bullet has maintained his good work with a World Series win in Bahrain and he was runner-up in Den Bosch before losing to Danny Noppert in MK.

It was Cross who beat Bunting in that Holland final having recovered from dismal exits in Bahrain and at the Worlds. The Londoner also went out first round at the Masters.

Luke Littler v Michael Van Gerwen – 8.15pm

As is now tradition, the rematch of the Ally Pally Final takes place on Night One and Littler holds the aces. The Nuke defeated his rival in style at the Worlds in the biggest game of his life and backed it up by spanking van Gerwen in his own backyard in the Den Bosch World Series event.

Van Gerwen has won the Premier League seven times and was performing strongly at The Masters before a late lapse saw him beaten by Dimitri Van den Bergh. He’ll be looking for a statement success to kickstart his campaign.

Nathan Aspinall v Luke Humphries – 8.45pm

Aspinall insists he does not have a point to prove in the Premier League after some irritated rivals called out his selection. The Stockport star has fought back from injury issues and remains a real talent who also entertains. Humphries is the smooth operator who has the tag of World No.1. Deservedly so. He may have lost his World title to Littler, but his Masters triumph was a seventh major success in just 15 months. Cool Hand has the temperament and the class and is a big favourite here.
