Greggs is set to tantalise taste buds with a major menu revamp this week that will see it take on some popular high street fast food chains.
The beloved bakery chain is launching its new barbecue chicken range in select UK shops as part of its hot menu expansion efforts. From a brand new BBQ chicken range to the return of cherished classics, fans are sure to enjoy the new menu.
Starting from today, Thursday, February 6, 150 Greggs outlets will feature the fresh Barbecue Crispy Chicken Burger and Barbecue Chicken Wrap, priced at £4 and £3.80 respectively.
With ambitions to extend these items to over 300 stores by spring, Greggs is really spicing things up. The Barbecue Crispy Chicken Burger is described as a “new twist” on a fan favourite, boasting a chicken breast in crispy crumbs with salad leaves, smothered in barbecue sauce and mayonnaise, all nestled in a soft corn top roll.
The Barbecue Chicken Wrap is packed with Southern Fried Chicken Goujons, salad leaves, cucumber, and tomato, drizzled with barbecue sauce and mayonnaise, all wrapped up in a soft tortilla.
In addition to these mouth-watering options, Greggs has revealed their all-new Crispy Chicken Bites – succulent chicken pieces in breadcrumbs, set for a trial run in selected Birmingham shops. Not forgetting the classics, Greggs is re-introducing the Katsu Chicken Bake, the Cherry Bakewell Muffin, and the sweet treats of the Cinnamon Swirl Latte and Cinnamon Flat White.
The Iced Cinnamon Latte is also making a comeback in selected shops. We’ve reached out to Greggs for the list and will update this article when we have more information, reports the Mirror.
All of the new and returning menu items are available in selected stores via Click+Collect on the Greggs App starting Thursday, February 6.
