Harry Lowbridge, known for his role as Logan Radcliffe on Coronation Street, has left the ITV soap while leaving the door open for a potential return.

His character, who made an impact as Mason Radcliffe’s older brother, has had a brief but eventful stint in Weatherfield, arriving amidst his sibling’s bullying scandal involving Dylan and Liam.

Despite Mason’s assertion that he had changed after some time away, viewers soon learned of a troubled past that led to violent behaviour, culminating in the brothers tragically killing their own sibling earlier this year.

Logan became a key suspect in the dramatic fire incident at the Platt residence, with David Platt convinced that he set the blaze which endangered Max and Toyah’s lives. Although Logan proclaimed his innocence and hinted at having an alibi, tensions remained high.

Lowbridge took to social media to bid goodbye to his character, posting a photo of Logan crouched behind a chair at the undertakers where his late brother lies, captioning it: “That’s farewell to Logan… for now.”

The plot thickened when PC Kit Green disclosed that while Logan admitted to stabbing Mason, he denied any involvement in the fire, asserting his alibi had been corroborated, reports the Mirror.

The storyline provoked a flurry of reactions from fans on social media, who were quick to express their thoughts on Logan’s unexpected departure from the show.

Viewers have praised a character’s performance with glowing comments on social media. “You were brilliant,” said one, while another chimed in: “You’re brilliant! ! Such a good baddie.”

A third congratulated: “Great work, he will be back,” and a fourth shared their personal encounter: “It was so lovely to meet you last year all the best and good luck with your new chapter.”

With Logan now out of the picture regarding the fire, suspicion still looms over several characters for the arson attack at the Platts’ home.

David has been taken into custody, and Abi along with Leanne continue to remain under suspicion. Questions persist about the true culprit—did someone else cause the conflagration?

While Logan’s exit eliminates him from David’s list of suspects, does it suggest David pointed fingers at Logan to divert attention from his own deeds?

Despite David’s innocence in the matter of the fire, he was engaged in criminal activities with ex-prisoner Andy, partaking as a getaway driver to acquire funds to repay the nefarious Harvey Gaskell.

However, when Kit searched for verification of David’s whereabouts, Andy rebuffed any claims of seeing him.
