A busy high street in a Scots town has been sealed off after emergency services rushed to an incident.
Around 16 firefighters as well as medics are currently in attendance on High Street in Dunbar, tonight, Thursday, February 6, after a fire broke out within a residential dwelling on the street, reports Edinburgh Live.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the incident at 5.14pm on February 6 and mobilised four pump appliances.
No information is available at this stage on any injuries at this stage but paramedics are at the scene.
An image shows firefighters tackling the blaze with an ambulance also present.
A cordon has been erected as concerned on lookers can be seen watching on. It is currently unclear if any of the occupants were passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Traffic Scotland also alerted road users in the area to the incident, advising drivers to avoid the area until it is made safe.
Taking to X they wrote: “Dunbar High Street is currently closed due to an ongoing fire in the area. Motorists are advised to #UseAltRoute at this time and #AvoidTheArea where possible.”
