With the cost of living crippling many at present and with many unable to afford luxuries unfortunately sometimes luxuries can mean things like football boots.
Fauldhouse United are setting up a football boot bank where people can get a pair of boots to play and enjoy the sport without having to fork out a pricey sum or have fear of being judged for not having the correct footwear.
On launching this project, the club’s Director of Football Steven Sharp said: “We are delighted to kick start this initiative, at Fauldhouse United we don’t want financial problems to be a barrier for any type of participation in football.
“Football boots can be very expensive and we want to do our bit to try and avoid financial difficulties that may be stopping people developing their skills or just taking part in a kick about with their friends to help their mental health, wellbeing and social inclusion.
“To help us to do this we need help and support so if you have any old football boots in wearable condition maybe they no longer fit or you have new pair we would love if you could donate and we will ensure they are available to those who need.”
All sizes are welcome and is open to all age groups. These include boys, girls, men and women.
To request or donate please just contact the club’s Facebook page or email [email protected] for details on how to donate and if you’d like to request a pair and the club has the availability we will help.
