Melodic and melancholic music will treat Airdrie Town Hall audiences’ ears as the venue hosts a pitch-perfect performance by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO).

The terrific troupe will return to the town on February 25 to play Mendelssohn , who fell in love with our landscape, culture and history.

In a special lunchtime concert, join presenter Gillian Moore as she introduces young and old alike to the wonders of classical music with Scotland’s National Orchestra.

A spokesperson for the concert event told Lanarkshire Live: ” Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony is a vision of Highland mists and warring clans, reimagined in glorious tunes and glowing colours by a young German with a genius for melody.

“Presenter Gillian Moore re-tells its story and introduces this live performance by RSNO associate artist Kellen Gray and Scotland’s National Orchestra.

The Mendelssohn performance will begin at 1pm and tickets are priced £16/£6 concession.

Please note that each paying adult is entitled to up to two free under 18 tickets; just change the ticket type to under 18 and the offer will be applied.
