In a change to the syllabus, Motherwell Photographic Society vice-president Rodger Shearer gave a tutorial on his Lightroom workflow at the club’s latest meeting.
Rodger showed how he processes his images after he imports them into Lightroom. There was ample opportunity for the club members to ask questions and Rodger passed on lots of useful tips and techniques.
Following a tea break, competition secretary Wilson Murray displayed a DVD on lowlight and interior photography.
Brian Saberton proposed a well-deserved vote of thanks to Rodger and Wilson for stepping in at short notice to ensure that the club members enjoyed an informative and interesting evening.
Next week, on Thursday, February 13, the guest speaker will be Euan Ross.
Euan is a Glasgow-based photographer whose main interest is photographing the landscape that he lives in.
Motherwell Photographic Society meets on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Holytown Community Centre.
As always, anyone with an interest in photography, no matter your level, is welcome to attend. The annual membership fee is £30.
There is a £2 weekly fee payable for all meetings in the community centre, which includes tea, coffee and biscuits.
