The road to Hampden continues this weekend as clubs up and down the divisions dream of Scottish Cup glory.
Hibs have already booked their place in the last eight after a narrow win over Scott Brown’s Ayr United at Somerset Park. And the rest of the fifth-round fixtures will take place across the weekend and into Monday, with some huge ties on the horizon. Two-time winners St Johnstone dumped out Motherwell in the previous round and have been handed a favourable tie at home to Hamilton.
Dundee also host Championship opposition as Airdrieonians visit Dens Park, while promotion-chasing Livingston welcome League One Cove Rangers to Almondvale. Meanwhile, holders Celtic are heavy favourites under the lights as Raith Rovers make the trip to Parkhead.
There’s a Glasgow derby to look forward to as well, with Rangers taking on Queen’s Park at Ibrox. There could be a potential banana skin at Pittodrie as struggling Aberdeen face Dunfermline, who have nothing to lose against Jimmy Thelin’s freefalling team. St Mirren and Hearts are the only all-Premiership pairing, and they’ll cap off the fifth-round in Paisley on Monday night. Here, Record Sport tells you everything you need to know ahead of the Scottish Cup quarter-final draw.
