Grammy winner Michael Bolton has had to cancel his much-anticipated London concert, scheduled for the upcoming summer.
The star had previously postponed this performance, which was initially set for July 2024, due to his ongoing recovery from brain surgery that took place in December 2023.
At 71-years-old, Bolton shared the unfortunate update via his Instagram story on Friday, explaining that his gig at London’s O2 Arena, planned for July 5, 2025, would regrettably be cancelled.
The show aimed to delight fans with a showcase of his greatest hits and had been deferred to July 2025 after its original scheduling in July 2024, reports the Mirror.
Addressing his followers directly on Instagram, the “When a Man Loves a Woman” crooner expressed: “Today we are announcing the cancellation of my July 5th concert at the O2 Arena in London.”
He continued, revealing his current health status: “You all know how much I was looking forward to this show but I am continuing to heal from surgery. Thank you for all your love and positive energy over this past year. I am so grateful to have the most supportive fans in the world. Your tickets will automatically be refunded,” he concluded his heartfelt message.

The news follows an announcement made by Bolton last year on his Instagram, where he informed fans of his need to take a break from performing while focusing on his health.
In the previous statement, Michael disclosed: “For the next couple of months, I will be devoting my time and energy to my recovery which means I’ll have to take a temporary break from touring.”
He went on to give his fans a heartfelt apology for having to postpone a show, assuring them that he is diligently working towards a speedy recovery to resume performing soon.
“It is always the hardest thing ever for me to disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon.”

He also conveyed his deep appreciation for the love and support he has received from fans over the years, stating, “Know that I’m keeping your private messages in my heart and I’ll give you more updates when I can. Much love always, MB.”
With a career spanning decades, Michael Bolton began his musical journey in the 1970s as a member of the heavy metal band Blackjack, before transitioning to a solo career in the 1980s, focusing on romantic pop ballads that earned him significant success with hits like How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.
Throughout his illustrious career, Michael Bolton has been honoured with two Grammy Awards for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, one in 1990 for How Am I Supposed To Live Without You, and another in 1992 for his rendition of When a Man Loves a Woman.
