A car was discovered in Glasgow four months after being reported stolen.

The black Audi A4 was found by cops from the Greater Glasgow Violence Reduction Unit on Saturday, February 1.

The vehicle was using cloned registration plates, reports Glasgow Live.

It was reported stolen in November 2024 and officers said forensic enquiries are ongoing before the car is eventually returned to its owner.

In a statement shared to social media, a spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “On Saturday February 1, Greater Glasgow Violence Reduction Unit officers were carrying out proactive patrols when they observed this Audi A4 in the Maryhill area.

“Enquiries revealed this vehicle was reported stolen in November 2024 and was using cloned registration plates.

“The vehicle was seized and forensic enquiries are ongoing before the vehicle is returned to the rightful owner.”
