After their show-stopping half-time performance at the Super Bowl at the weekend, Grammy winners Kendrick Lamar and SZA will bring their Grand National Tour to Glasgow this summer.

Kendrick’s super-viral performance – complete with iconic bootleg jeans and Drake diss track – with SZA last weekend has stirred up anticipation for the rapper and singer’s upcoming tour, which is likely to sell out rapidly.

Winning 27 Grammys between them (Kendrick with 22 and SZA with five), the stars are set to play Hampden Park in Glasgow on Tuesday, July 8. Their tour will kick off in the US in April, and will feature a European leg starting in Germany in June.

Fans can expect live renditions of tracks that the rapper and singer have collabed on, like ‘All The Stars’, ‘Doves in the Wind’, ‘Babylon’, ‘Luther’ and ‘Gloria’, as well as the musicians’ solo tracks.

Other UK dates for the tour include Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 10, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 19, and London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 22. But securing your tickets is unlikely to be a walk in the park.

After Lana Del Rey sold out Hampden (capacity 51,866) immediately when tickets went on sale last November, tickets for SZA and Kendrick aren’t likely to be easily secured.

While tickets for Lana’s Glasgow date ranged from £78.40 to a whopping £405 for VIP packages, prices for Kendrick and SZA’s double headline date are said to range from £73.10 – £204.50.

Tickets go on sale this Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14, with pre-sale taking place tomorrow, February 12, at 9am. Tickets will be available on all the major ticket-selling sites, such as Ticketmaster.

In order to win this upcoming ticket war, it’s recommended to go online a few minutes before ticket sales go live. You may then get put in an online “waiting room”, which opens 15 minutes before briefs go on sale, which could make you more likely to be further ahead in the queue when the sought-after tickets are released at 9am on Friday.
