A warning has been issued to people visiting The Kelpies after a Bird Flu outbreak was confirmed.

The Helix park in Falkirk and Grangemouth has today, Tuesday, January 11, asked visitors to stay away from birds when visiting and announced that there will be no tours of The Kelpies over the next four days.

In a post on social media the park urges people not to touch or feed birds and to keep dogs away from them too.

The Helix has a variety of species with ducks and swans believed to be among those on site.

Bird flu is an infectious type of avian influenza that spreads among birds. In rare cases, it can affect humans.
