Cobra Kai is almost over, so what are its Netflix stars going to do next as the final episodes get ready to drop?

Netflix subscribers were stunned when the season six part two finale ended with the death of Cobra Kai competitor Kwon Jae-Sung (played by Brandon H Lee) at the prestigious Sekai Taikai tournament.

So when Cobra Kai does return for its last five episodes on Thursday, 13th February, everything is going to be up in the air for the young fighters with their futures on the mat now in question.

And while not all of its stars have openly shared what they will be working on next, some of the cast has teased what’s to come in their careers.

Xolo Mariduena

From suffering a serious spinal injury to his ongoing romance with Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser), Miguel Diaz has gone on a turbulent journey throughout the Netflix hit.

For the time being, actor Xolo Mariduena is moving away from the world of TV, swapping it for life on the big screen.

Currently in pre-production, Mariduena is going to portray a character in the upcoming Smurfs movie alongside some major names including the likes of Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy, Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddingham and Grey’s Anatomy icon Sandra Oh.

He is also working along with none other than The Godfather and Scarface star Al Pacino in the upcoming biopic based on the real life events during a period in Fidel Castro’s life.

Now in post-production, Killing Castro also stars Alexander Ludwig, Titus Welliver and Logan Marshall-Green.

Peyton List

Prior to Cobra Kai, Tori Nichols actress Peyton List was a child model and then a Disney star, featuring in Jessie, its spin-off BUNK’D and The Swap with fellow Netflix star and boyfriend Jacob Bertrand.

On January 30, the second season of Paramount+ teen drama School Spirits came out with List reprising her leading role as Maddie Nears.

Jacob Bertrand

Self-confessed nerd Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz’s friendship with fellow nerd Demitri (Gianni DeCenzo) has been a highlight throughout Cobra Kai’s run.

Now, actor Jacob Bertrand will be moving on from the Netflix series as he’s currently filming the action drama series Tempest which is about “spies who have lost their identity”.

He is to star opposite Brooke Smith, Christopher Gorham, John Cho and Cobra Kai’s Kim Da-Eun star Alicia Hannah-Kim.

Yuji Okumoto

Once the main antagonist in The Karate Kid Part II, Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) became an ally in Netflix’s Cobra Kai.

Actor Yuji Okumoto will be starring in the upcoming crime drama Blood Streams along with Brad Moule, Han Soto, Rosco Nash and Holin Haley with the show now in post-production.

Martin Kove

Original Karate Kid villain John Kreese has a number of other projects on the go following his stint on Cobra Kai.

According to his IMDb page, the 78-year-old is going to feature in action drama The Highwayman, crime comedy Bob Is Dead with Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe, action film Killing Mary Sue with My Best Friend’s Wedding star Dermot Mulroney and the Dark Fantasy film Dante’s Inferno.

All of the above are currently in post-production but his western film A Gunfighter’s Deal has been completed.

Ralph Macchio

The Karate Kid himself Daniel LaRusso has gone on a spiritual journey during his time on Cobra Kai as he made it his mission to teach the lessons of his sensei Mr Miyagi (Pat Morita).

While Cobra Kai may be over, actor Ralph Macchio will be keeping the franchise alive with the new film Karate Kid: Legends.

Starring the legendary Jackie Chan, the description reads: “Kung Fu prodigy Li Fong is uprooted from his home in Beijing and forced to move to New York City.

“When a friend needs his help, Li enters a karate competition. Li’s teacher Mr. Han enlists original Karate Kid Daniel LaRusso for help.”

Cobra Kai season six, part three, premieres on Thursday, February 13, on Netflix.
