A Scots flight has been forced to U-turn mid-air due to an onboard incident.

The Ryanair aircraft from Edinburgh to London Stansed was forced to return to the capital at around 6.30am on Wednesday, February 12. It was seen circling over the Scottish Borders before returning north following the incident.

As reported in Edinburgh Live, information on flight tracking website FlightRadar24 confirms the pilot was forced to divert the aircraft, with the reason currently unknown. The flight landed back in Edinburgh at around 7.20am.

The nature of the on board incident is currently unknown. Ryanair has been approached for comment.
