A man is in hospital after a car burst into flames following a horror multi-vehicle smash in Fife.
Emergency services rushed to the three-car collision at Preston Roundabout in Glenrothes at around 9.45am on Wednesday, February 12. Crews attended and a 50-year-old man was found injured.
He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown. The fire was successfully extinguished by fire crews.

The road reopened an hour later. Police confirmed a 35-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for a driving offence
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 9.45am on Wednesday, 12 February, 2025 we received reports of a three vehicle crash at Preston Roundabout, Glenrothes. Emergency services attended and Scottish Fire and Rescue extinguished a car on fire.
“A 50 year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. The road closed for an hour and was reopened at 10.45am. A 35-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for a driving offence.”
