The Rangers Fan Advisory Board revealed new chief executive Patrick Stewart’s thoughts on a number of issues will be made public “very shortly.”

The news comes amid supporter anger at silence from the club since Sunday’s Scottish Cup shocker when Philippe Clement’s men crashed out of the tournament at the hands of Championship side Queen’s Park in one of the club’s worst ever results. The group was set up to provide a link between supporters and the hierarchy and they released a statement to say they met with ex Manchester United chief Stewart with details of the sit-down set to be shared. They said: “Last week, we held a planned meeting with Patrick Stewart and members of the leadership team to discuss a wide range of club issues and concerns.

“We expect the minutes from that meeting to be available very shortly. Furthermore, we have been in contact with the club since last weekend’s disastrous Scottish Cup performance to cover the strength of fan sentiment following that unacceptable result.”

The news comes amid disgruntled fans claiming the club have gone to ground since the 1-0 defeat to the Spiders with NO posts on the club’s official X account since the full-time whistle.

Clement will address the media at his usual pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of Sunday’s Scottish Premiership trip to Hearts.

The Fan Advisory Board was set up last November and consists of Stuart Langan (Chair), Matt Boyd (Vice Chair), Fahd Ikram Bari, Jamie Cook, Kelly Johnstone, Craig Hannah and Gary Ralston. Ex chief executive James Bisgrove, now in the Saudi Pro League after leaving the club at the end of last season, said at the time,: “The introduction of the Fan Advisory Board is a testament to our commitment to meaningful and structured engagement with the Rangers support.
